The Wellington Womens team won both the A and B Quadrangular tournaments at the Papanui club in Christchurch last weekend with 7 wins out of 9 in the As, and 6 out of 9 in the Bs taking the trophies over Canterbury, Marlborough and Dunedin.
All the women had great games but in particular Lisa White and Helen King who won all their games and super sub Leigh Griffin filling in at singles winning two and only losing 25-20 to Jan Khan from Canterbury.
Mandy Boyd’s (Johnsonville) fours team which contained Kirsten Griffin, fell short in the last game going down to Bev Morel (Canterbury) by 3 shots.
In the B Team Kay Carr won two games in the pairs as did the Fours skipped by Dale Rayner (Johnsonville) with Katrina Holland and Sarah Taukamo.
Richard Corry playing with Ray Lovie (Eastbourne) in the Mens B team pairs won two matches, and Ray Martin in the Jim Bullen (Upper Hutt) skipped four earned a win and a draw out of their three games.
