Wellington’s Stephen Zino was no match for World Indoor singles champion Stewart Anderson in front of the seeded player’s home Scottish crowd in the first round of the Cooperative Funeralcare Scottish International Open Singles in Perth, Scotland going down 12-1, 8-3. Zino scored early in both sets but was overcome by Anderson’s consistent perfect touchers to open each end, and a lack of back bowls to play shots too to turn around any of the subsequent ends.
