The women’s premier team finished Round 3 of interclub in 5th places, 4 points outside of the Top 4. After 3 wins in the morning vs Tawa, it was an unsuccessful trip to Johnsonville in the afternoon. The changes made between the singles & pairs didn’t work, and they lost all 3 matches. Their next match is vs Naenae who are currently 3rd.
Premier men’s team who are looking to improve this season after a rare season not making the top 4 last year, now sit 2nd in the table after winning 5 out of 6 matches on Saturday. Won all 3 vs Upper Hutt in the afternoon, and against Naenae in the morning they only lost the fours. For the next round they head to Johnsonville, where they’ll be hoping for more luck than the women’s journey to there.
The Division 1 men’s team had nowhere to go but up after the first round where they got no points! A reasonable day for them, winning 3 matches out of 6. Fours team were their best performed, winning both games. A huge performance from Goz in the morning against Lyall Bay where he was undisputed MVP!
Men in Division 3 were sitting high up the table after Round 1, and like the Div 1 team, won 3 out of 6 of their matches. Chance Hausman with two wins in the singles, including a bonus point victory against Plimmerton in the morning. They’ve been away from home for their first three rounds, and are pleased to get through that sitting 3rd in the table, and now have their next four matches at home.
Men’s quad now sit 5th after having a win one, lost one in both rounds, vs Upper Hutt & Wainuiomata.
